These new painting tools and features are exciting stuff for literally every type of Wacom tablet and Photoshop user. This preview window is not only effective in the creation of new brushes, but also flat out fun! This floating window gives you a visual representation of your brush when selected and active. You can use one of the ten standard Bristle tip presets, or create and save your own to match your preferred look or style.Īssisting you in the creation and use of your new Bristle tip brushes is a Bristle Brush Preview feature which provides you with a real-time reference of the brushes look and behavior. Photoshop CS5 is pen-centric through and through. As it should be, seeing as CS5 represents one of the biggest updates to the Creative Suite since it has been bundled as a suite! But beyond all the marketing-speak, with each new release of the Creative Suite, what I really want to know is, “What’s in it for tablet users?” And I’m happy to say, “A whole lot!” If you select one or more paths by using the Direct Selection tool (the white arrow in the Tools panel), the Stroke Path command changes to Stroke Subpath(s), enabling you to stroke only the selected paths.A lot will be written about Adobe Creative Suite 5 and all it’s goodness for months to come. If you’re using a pressure-sensitive drawing tablet, you can select the Simulate Pressure check box to create strokes that have varying widths. Photoshop also applies your current foreground color to the stroke. Make sure that you verify your chosen tool’s settings on the Options bar because Photoshop uses those settings to stroke your path. In the dialog box that opens, select one of the many painting or editing tools that you want to use to apply color to the stroke. This option bypasses the dialog box in Step 2 and just strokes your path with whatever setting you used previously You can also click the Stroke Path icon without holding down the Alt (Option on the Mac) key. Then, select Stroke Path from the Paths panel pop-up menu. You can select which painting or editing tool to use to stroke the path. You can use the Stroke Path command in Photoshop to paint a stroke along a path.
